Senior Software Engineer - Oracle Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Cotiviti. This Senior Software Engineer remote position will allow you to leverage your expertise in Oracle-based solutions to enhance our healthcare analytics products. You will collaborate with a talented team to support and improve our existing software applications, contributing to the overall performance of the healthcare system.

What You'll Do

  • Support and enhance high-quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite.
  • Analyze and resolve software-related issues originating from internal or external customers.
  • Document specifications, design, features, and operations of applications prior to production rollout.
  • Execute solutions enhancements to improve performance and availability.
  • Communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner.
  • Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems to improve efficiency and results.
  • Mentor other developers and assist in their professional growth.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual Performance Plan.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of enterprise software design and development experience with a strong focus on Oracle-based solutions.
  • 2-3 years of healthcare data expertise with solid healthcare domain knowledge.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced Oracle database features such as partitioning and indexing strategies.
  • Strong experience with ETL development and data transformations.
  • Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile Scrum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Oracle RAC, Data Guard, or Goldengate.
  • Experience with CI/CD implementation for database code.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation.
