Practical Assistant in Dental Health Sciences - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Practical Assistant in Dental Health Sciences to support practical education at Ghent University. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the training of future dental professionals while working in a flexible, remote environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in organizing, supervising, and evaluating practical exercises and workshops for students in the Dental Health Sciences program.
• Guide students during preclinical exercises and clinical skills practice in the student clinic.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure high-quality practical education and assessment.
• Occasionally take on additional educational and service-related tasks as required.
• Engage with students to enhance their learning experience and provide mentorship.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Dentistry is required.
• Must hold a valid dental practice license and be actively practicing as a general dentist.
• Experience in student guidance, particularly in pediatric dentistry, is highly recommended.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch are necessary for effective student support.
• Flexibility to adapt to the educational needs of the department.

Nice to Have

• Interest in maintaining a connection with scientific research and service in dentistry.
• Experience in educational settings or mentoring roles.
