About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Software Engineer - BLE / Connectivity remote to join our team at Samsara. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our mobile applications, focusing on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity across our product suite. As a key member of our mobile connectivity platform team, your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of industries that drive our global economy.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement a robust connectivity platform for our mobile products, ensuring seamless integration with hardware.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware and backend engineers to enhance the overall connectivity architecture.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality code.
  • Enhance our application architecture and development processes to improve developer experience.
  • Produce maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and ensure high standards of quality in all deliverables.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in mobile development for Android and/or iOS.
  • Proven track record of building and shipping high-quality production mobile applications using native or React Native frameworks.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing BLE-enabled mobile applications.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive projects cross-functionally.
  • Passion for exploring new technologies and improving products for customers.

  • Experience leading projects from concept to launch.
  • Ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
