Senior Lawyer - Payments & Fintech (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our dynamic team at Alchemy Group, specializing in the Payments and Fintech sectors. This Senior Lawyer remote position will allow you to leverage your expertise in financial services law while working with a leading Neobank/EMI.

What You'll Do

• Provide regulatory and financial services advice, ensuring compliance with laws applicable to EMIs and payment services.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.
• Support corporate governance and strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify legal risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Manage disputes and external counsel efficiently, ensuring cost-effective legal support.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate from any EU member state.
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in financial services, payments, or fintech.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with experience in complex commercial contracts.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• In-house experience within an EMI or regulated financial services firm.
• Familiarity with data protection and consumer financial services rules.
• International or multi-jurisdictional legal experience.
