Senior JavaScript Developer - Remote/​Hybrid Role at verkstedt

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team at verkstedt. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to impactful projects in the digital healthcare and retail media sectors. As a Senior JavaScript Developer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and evolving large-scale web applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience.

What You'll Do

• Architect and implement robust frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and modern tooling.
• Build and maintain component libraries with a strong emphasis on reusability, accessibility, and performance.
• Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, including APIs and server-side logic.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both frontend and backend applications.
• Work on greenfield projects while enhancing existing systems.
• Contribute to open source projects and collaborate on fun initiatives during our Open Fridays.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in JavaScript development.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern frontend architecture.
• Expertise in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development.
• Experience with Node.js for backend services and APIs.
• Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tooling.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.

Nice to Have

• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Experience with state management patterns and libraries.
