Senior Data Scientist - Financial Services (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Financial Services (Remote) to join TRM Labs, where you will play a critical role in building a safer world through blockchain analytics and AI solutions. In this position, you will have end-to-end ownership of essential analytics products for our customers, collaborating with a talented team to uncover valuable insights that help detect and prevent cryptocurrency fraud and financial crime.

What You'll Do

• Lead the implementation of advanced analytics products that allow customers to explore complex blockchain data.
• Develop complex statistical analysis, algorithms, and interactive visualizations for law enforcement and financial institutions.
• Collaborate with engineers and research scientists to design algorithms that analyze complex data structures inherent to cryptocurrencies.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Establish best practices and statistical rigor around data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in financial services or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL) and experience with programming languages (Python preferred).
• Proven experience in building scalable data and analytics products from design to deployment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on influencing decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics.
• Experience working with distributed ledger technologies and cryptographic protocols.
• Familiarity with DeFi services and global regulations.
