About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Veracyte. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure that support our data-driven initiatives in the biotech sector. What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure high-quality data availability for analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Utilize AWS, Snowflake, Python, and SQL to build and optimize data architectures.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala, with a solid understanding of ETL processes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and data modeling best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
