Senior Data Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Blue Coding

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Blue Coding. This fully remote position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals across LATAM. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data systems that drive decision-making for our clients in the insurance sector.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data stores that support enterprise data science, analytics, and operations.
• Identify, track, and analyze the performance of data layer services, implementing solutions to enhance stability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with peers across the Research and Technology organization to deliver best-in-class data solutions.
• Support critical end-to-end data pipelines written in Python or Scala.
• Work within the Agile framework to design data pipelines, build database models, and process data using various methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Python programming and building applications from scratch.
• Proficiency in working with structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL) data environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with AWS technologies (e.g., S3, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis).
• Strong communication skills and a self-motivated attitude.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
