Project Manager - Technical Projects in Space Industry

About the Role

Simera Sense is seeking a Project Manager to lead technical projects in the space industry. As a Project Manager remote, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects that align with our business goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Act as the technical liaison between project management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Lead the coordination of technical support activities across engineering, systems, and operations teams.
• Oversee the maintenance and performance of mission-critical systems, ensuring system readiness for mission phases.
• Identify and escalate technical risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with required regulations and maintain accurate records of technical interventions.
• Manage technical support tools and coordinate internal training to build team capability.
• Provide regular updates on technical support status and prepare technical documentation for stakeholders.
• Lead technical support readiness for key project phases, coordinating simulations and dry runs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing technical projects in engineering, aerospace, IT infrastructure, or systems integration.
• Experience in space engineering, satellite systems, or payload integration is highly valued.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and technical platforms (e.g., MATLAB, STK).
• Experience managing relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and international partners.

Nice to Have

• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.
