Senior Data Engineer - Relocation to Valencia

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Valencia, Spain. This role is office-based, and we provide relocation assistance for those moving from outside the city or country. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and optimizing data pipelines using technologies like Apache Airflow, Snowflake, and Apache Kafka. This position offers a unique opportunity to architect robust and scalable data solutions that ensure the integrity and accessibility of our data infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement data models that support business requirements, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Implement and maintain Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for real-time data processing and integration with various systems.
• Integrate with third-party databases and APIs to enhance data accessibility.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and maintenance procedures to ensure the health and reliability of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to understand and fulfill data requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation and transformation.
• Familiarity with data warehouse and data modeling techniques.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Proven track record in data engineering roles, focusing on scalable data solutions using Snowflake or Redshift.
• In-depth understanding and practical experience with Kafka-based streaming architectures for real-time data processing.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
