Senior Cloud Engineer - Site Reliability Engineering (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer - Site Reliability Engineering to join our dynamic team. This remote role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based services by applying strong software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations. You will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable, production-grade systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions; track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for system reliability.
• Lead incident response, conduct postmortems, and implement long-term reliability improvements.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines, including security scanning and secrets management.
• Collaborate across teams to deploy, support, and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and production systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Production Operations.
• Strong expertise with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EFS, Kinesis) and related troubleshooting.
• Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Deep understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability best practices.
• Experience supporting highly available, scalable, and secure production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security best practices.
