About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join TRM Labs' Product Engineering team. In this remote position, you will build reliable and scalable software solutions that are essential for our customers, helping to create a safer financial system. Your expertise will contribute to the development of our blockchain analytics and AI solutions, which are pivotal in detecting and disrupting crypto-related fraud and financial crime.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop backend APIs with a focus on customer experience and performance.
- Work on complex engineering problems that enhance both your technical and project management skills.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to transform functional visions into actionable roadmaps.
- Support internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities.
- Develop and maintain public APIs that are part of our API product suite.
- Build cross-functional relationships to empower stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for internal tools, triaging customer support requests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services.
- Understanding of storage systems such as relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong initiative and ownership, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
- Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with Node.js is a plus, but not required.
