About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Bespoke Labs. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the eligible locations while contributing to innovative AI projects. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining core backend systems that power large-scale AI training and execution.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain core backend systems for AI training and task execution.
  • Design and operate scalable, high-throughput services handling millions of tasks per week.
  • Develop distributed workflows and compute orchestration systems.
  • Collaborate closely with AI researchers and model engineers to ship end-to-end solutions.
  • Take ownership of production systems in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 4 - 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience building and operating systems at scale.
  • Strong fundamentals in systems design, data structures, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern stacks such as Python and Go, databases, and async systems.
  • Comfortable working in high-ownership startup environments.
  • Computer Science / CS background from a top-tier college or an equivalent college or university is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Previous experience in a freelance or contract role.
