About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team at Welltech, a leading company in the wellness and fitness technology sector. What You'll Do

  • Take technical ownership of the team’s codebase and production systems, ensuring stability and scalability.
  • Lead the design and development of high-quality mobile solutions with a focus on architecture and best practices.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery by translating complex user needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Shape the architecture and system design of the mobile application and its integrations with backend services.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Work hands-on with modern Android technologies including Kotlin, Coroutines, and Jetpack libraries.
  • Identify opportunities for technical improvements and proactively drive initiatives that enhance system quality.
  • Deliver high-impact features in a customer-centric environment, affecting millions of users.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with Kotlin, including networking and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and scalable UI architectures.
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, DI) and modular codebases.
  • Ability to manage risks and propose efficient solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane).
  • Product-minded approach with a focus on maintainable solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with backend-driven UI and multimedia.
  • Hands-on experience with OWASP mobile security best practices.
  • Experience implementing methodologies that support fast iteration and high dev productivity.
