We are seeking a Remote Staff Cloud Database Engineer to join our dynamic team at WeightWatchers. What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based database solutions that support our digital health initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security across all platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Database Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient in cloud database technologies such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance standards.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
