About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Software Engineer II to join our innovative team at Stacklok. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in building secure and scalable backend services using Golang, specifically for our flagship platform, Toolhive Enterprise. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Spain.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the development of Go-based backend services for Toolhive, focusing on the Model Context Protocol Control Plane.
• Design and implement scalable APIs that facilitate secure connections between AI agents and internal systems.
• Influence architectural decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Engage with our open-source community, gathering feedback and turning it into actionable features.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to enhance the overall quality of our codebase.
• Address complex challenges in distributed systems to ensure high performance and reliability.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in software development, particularly with Golang.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Familiarity with open-source contributions and community engagement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
