About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Senior Quality Engineer to join our dedicated team at Khan Academy. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web-based educational products. What You'll Do

  • Engage in both manual testing and test automation, developing and maintaining automated tests to detect regressions.
  • Perform comprehensive manual testing of new features to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to advocate for exceptional user experiences.
  • Own the manual test plan development and execution for new features on the team.
  • Build and maintain new test automation to fill coverage gaps using insights from manual testing and stakeholder priorities.
  • Participate in planning, design reviews, and development discussions to ensure quality is considered at all stages of the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on automated test development.
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with frontend, backend, white box, and black box testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
