About the Role

We are excited to offer a remote opportunity for an Automation Team Intern at Jabil. As an intern, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions across various manufacturing and operational processes. What You'll Do

• Assist in the research, design, and prototyping of automation solutions, including robotic systems and automated testing platforms.
• Support the integration of new automation hardware and software into existing production lines.
• Contribute to the development and debugging of control programs (e.g., PLC, Python, C#) for automated equipment.
• Participate in testing and validation of automation systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automated equipment and processes.
• Document automation designs, configurations, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, production staff, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Conduct basic data analysis to identify areas for automation improvement and efficiency gains.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• Basic understanding of automation concepts, robotics, and control systems.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, Ladder Logic).
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
