We are seeking a dedicated Remote Nursing Faculty - BSN Online Instructor to join our team at Covista. What You'll Do

• Teach courses in both classroom and experiential settings, focusing on the nursing curriculum.
• Implement the University’s philosophy and curriculum effectively.
• Develop curricular innovations for assigned courses to enhance student learning.
• Oversee clinical preceptors and evaluate student experiences to ensure quality education.
• Provide constructive feedback and remediation to students to support their academic growth.
• Act as a professional role model and mentor for nursing students and new faculty members.
• Participate in professional activities outside the University to enhance your expertise.
• Contribute to program development and evaluation to maintain high educational standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required; PhD or DNP preferred.
• Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in nursing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to scholarship and professional development.
• Ability to maintain appropriate licensure or certification.
• Experientially prepared to teach assigned courses effectively.
• Ability to mentor new faculty members and participate in academic advisement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with online teaching platforms and technologies.
• Previous involvement in curriculum development.
