Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Remote to join our dynamic team at easybill. As a Senior SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and availability of our cloud-based invoicing software, which serves over 20,000 active customers worldwide. You will work closely with a dedicated team of experts, leveraging innovative technologies to optimize our financial processes and enhance our service delivery.

What You'll Do

• Co-responsibility for system availability and reliability, ensuring high uptime for our services.
• Maintain and automate existing infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Enhance monitoring strategies and conduct thorough error analysis to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Participate in on-call duties, demonstrating commitment to high availability and quick response to incidents.
• Utilize programming languages such as Rust, Java, Go, or TypeScript to develop and improve our systems.
• Implement system automation and uphold IT security best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a motivating work environment and contribute to open-source technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development, particularly in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.
• Fluent communication skills in German and good English proficiency.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
• A passion for contributing to open-source technologies is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and error tracking systems.
• Knowledge of IT security protocols and best practices.
