Process Engineer - Coatings /​ Metalizing (Remote Opportunities)

About the Role

North American Lighting, Inc. is seeking a talented Process Engineer - Coatings / Metalizing to join our dynamic team. This Process Engineer remote position is an exciting opportunity to work with a leader in the automotive lighting industry. You will play a crucial role in developing adhesive application processes and improving product performance.

What You'll Do

• Analyze product and equipment specifications to determine feasible designs using existing assembly processes.
• Validate adhesive to substrate combinations and support the development of new adhesive materials.
• Educate and advise launch teams on adhesive material capabilities for product designs.
• Assist in the development, design, testing, and installation of adhesive application systems and processes.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to meet adhesive needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of engineering experience in a process-related position.
• 2 to 4 years of experience with coatings/metalizing, including specifications, formulations, testing, and application methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with standards such as Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and American Standard Technical Methods (ASTM).

Nice to Have

• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of advanced adhesive technologies.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
