Part-Time Extended Care Staff - Preschool Program
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time Extended Care Staff for our Preschool Program. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and safe environment for our students. As a Part-Time Extended Care Staff member, you will work Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, supervising children in our aftercare program. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's lives.
What You'll Do
- Promote and supervise students and activities in the aftercare program while providing a safe and nurturing environment.
- Take attendance and supervise lunchtime, ensuring students are cared for during their breaks.
- Engage students in outdoor activities or gym play for gross motor development.
- Monitor sign-out procedures with parents/guardians and ensure the safety of students with allergies.
- Assist with craft activities, reading time, bathroom breaks, and clean-up duties.
Requirements
- Must be a practicing Catholic and demonstrate a love for small children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Work collaboratively with fellow Extended Day staff in a respectful manner.
- Engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth.
- Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor.
Nice to Have
- Experience in early childhood education or related fields.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
