Onboarding Experience Designer - Remote Project-Based Role

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Onboarding Experience Designer to create a self-guided onboarding experience for new teachers and support staff at Ethos Early Learning Center. This remote position allows you to design an engaging and informative onboarding process that will significantly impact our organization.

What You'll Do

• Design a digital, interactive onboarding system for new hires, ensuring it is self-guided, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
• Translate key policies, expectations, and Ethos values into engaging formats that resonate with new employees.
• Incorporate visual elements, videos, quizzes, or interactive pieces to enhance the onboarding experience.
• Provide a structure that is easy for the team to update in the future, ensuring the onboarding experience remains current and relevant.
• Collaborate with Ethos leadership to gather content and feedback, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Deliver the final onboarding materials in a user-friendly platform such as Notion, Canva, or Google Slides.

Requirements

• A background in instructional design, digital training, onboarding, HR, or communications.
• Experience creating onboarding materials or employee-facing content.
• Strong design and storytelling skills, with the ability to balance creativity with clarity and compliance.
• Passionate about creating meaningful experiences for others.
• Bonus: Familiarity with early childhood education or nonprofit settings.

Nice to Have

• Experience with user experience (UX) design principles.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
