Supply Planner - Raw Materials (Remote)

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day raw material replenishment and inventory across UK manufacturing sites to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and analyze supply plans and material usage to identify and resolve potential supply risks or shortages.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials with the correct quality and quantity.
• Apply and review statistical safety stock models to set appropriate buffer stock levels based on demand and lead-time variability.
• Lead supplier performance management, including tracking metrics and driving supplier performance improvement plans.
• Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory (OSMI) by analyzing trends and coordinating actions to minimize financial impact.
• Analyze inventory variances, waste, and write-offs to identify root causes and implement corrective process improvements.
• Develop and maintain key inventory and supplier KPIs, taking corrective actions to ensure performance targets are achieved.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a manufacturing, multi-site Supply Chain environment and in a Supply Planning role using DD/MRP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and MRP-based systems for replenishment and planning.
• Strong understanding of inventory management techniques, including safety stock and optimization.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and perform under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with senior management, cross-functional teams, and suppliers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sustainability initiatives in supply chain management.
• Knowledge of advanced forecasting methods.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
