About the Role

We are seeking a talented On-Page SEO Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will implement and optimize on-page content across client websites to enhance search engine visibility and user engagement for plumbing and HVAC local businesses. As an On-Page SEO Specialist, you will be instrumental in mapping out newly onboarded clients’ SEO strategies, including service area research, keyword targeting, and website performance analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive research on the client’s service area to identify target cities for their new website, focusing on keyword search volume, population, and household income.
  • Perform existing website audits to assess current performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring effective content transfer.
  • Execute keyword research to determine primary, secondary, and semantic keywords for service pages on client websites.
  • Develop a clear website structure and navigation, establishing a user-friendly experience with a consistent URL structure.
  • Create SEO-optimized meta titles, descriptions, and H1 tags to enhance visibility.
  • Quality assurance of copywriter content to ensure adherence to SEO best practices, including keyword targeting and internal linking.
  • QA both staging and published websites to confirm all SEO elements are correctly implemented post-onboarding.
  • Collaborate with GBP Specialists, Technical SEO Specialists, and the SEO Director to align strategies and optimize performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an SEO-specific role, such as an SEO Specialist or Manager.
  • 1+ years of experience working with local businesses, preferably in service-based industries.
  • Fluent in English with strong content writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of on-page SEO best practices, including keyword placement and content formatting.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, particularly WordPress.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.
  • Basic understanding of SEO analytics and content performance metrics.

  • Experience with technical SEO practices.
  • Familiarity with backlinking strategies.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools.
