About the Role

We're looking for a talented Movies and TV Features and Resource Editor to join the award-winning team at Comic Book Resources (CBR). This remote position allows you to edit and publish engaging feature articles on Movies and TV content from anywhere in North America or the UK. As a Movies and TV Features and Resource Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the voice of our content, ensuring it meets the high standards of our audience.

What You'll Do

• Edit and publish Movies and TV feature articles daily, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Oversee and facilitate communication with writers using tools like Slack and Asana.
• Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their skills and align with CBR's standards.
• Work closely with new writers, mentoring them in the art of feature content creation.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in movies and TV to ensure content relevance.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas.
• Maintain a strong command of the English language, ensuring articles are free of typos and grammatical errors.
• Demonstrate a quick learning ability and a strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles, particularly in the entertainment industry.
• A broad working knowledge of movies, TV, and the entertainment landscape.
• Proven ability to write and edit articles that engage and inform readers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear feedback.
• Experience using collaboration tools like Slack and Asana.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A passion for movies and TV, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
