We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer - Node.js/TypeScript Remote to join our dynamic team at Deel. What You'll Do

• Collaborate in a cross-functional team with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless experiences.
• Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, contributing your insights throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Develop and enhance features, APIs, and continuously improve our industry-leading products.
• Help find and fix bugs at “Deel Speed,” ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Provide an exceptional, customer-centric experience through quality engineering and attentive development.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer with a strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices.
• Expertise in SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database modeling.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience designing systems for scalability and optimizing for high-volume performance.
• Proven skills in API development, including input validation and security measures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SaaS products running 24/7 on major cloud vendors.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture on AWS.
• Knowledge of the FinTech industry and its unique challenges.
