Mid-Senior Embedded Engineer - Hybrid Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Embedded Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role that allows you to work on innovative embedded systems while contributing to the development of next-generation devices. As an Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for firmware development, hardware integration, and system-level debugging. What You'll Do

• Develop and implement firmware for embedded systems using Embedded C++.
• Integrate hardware components and ensure seamless communication between devices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software platforms.
• Work with microcontrollers and SoCs, including ESP32 and i.MX8/i.MX9.
• Utilize RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS for efficient system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Document processes and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development.
• Strong knowledge of Embedded C++ and microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with hardware communication protocols: SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with RTOS environments and firmware development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and IoT applications.
