About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Worley, a global leader in energy, chemicals, and resources. This Mechanical Fitter remote position is based in Immingham, England, and focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical construction activities for the Phillips 66 Refinery project. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Execute daily mechanical construction activities in line with project schedules and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Review construction workpacks and drawings to ensure compliance with project plans.
  • Act as a Performing Authority for mechanical construction activities, ensuring all tasks are executed according to permits and RAMS.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and assist the Projects Quality Team.
  • Lead tool-box talks and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
  • Liaise with Control of Work personnel to resolve any daily work permit issues.
  • Support other trades and disciplines as part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

Requirements

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
  • Experience in rotating equipment and a CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • Proven track record in oil and gas projects, focusing on HSEQ standards.
  • Ability to interface with management and client representatives at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems.

Nice to Have

  • Performing Authority experience.
  • Manual Handling and MJI10 / HEX Bolted Connection Techniques.
  • Experience in machinery and pipework alignment and installation.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
