Manual Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We're hiring a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lyft. This is a fully remote position where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our innovative ride-sharing platform. As a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving testing activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our product offerings.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement test plans by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in test strategy definition alongside the automation team.
• Analyze design documents and requirements to create comprehensive test cases.
• Implement test case design techniques to identify positive, negative, and corner cases.
• Prioritize and identify regression and smoke test cases for efficient testing.
• Conduct reviews of test plans and test cases to ensure quality standards.
• Execute test cases across various platforms, including web, mobile, and backend.
• Report execution results, provide sign-off, and track defects effectively.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues.

Requirements

• Strong experience in developing and documenting test plans and test cases.
• Experience executing end-to-end (E2E) testing and reporting results.
• Familiarity with test case design techniques implementation.
• Experience with backend/services testing.
• Proficient in web/mobile platforms with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and release teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for learning new processes.
• Experience prioritizing and coordinating work across multiple product teams is a plus.
