Laboratory Equipment and Metrology Manager - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Equipment and Metrology Manager to join our team at SGS. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to manage laboratory equipment and ensure precise metrology practices. What You'll Do

• Oversee the management of laboratory instrumentation and ensure optimal performance.
• Establish and manage the annual maintenance and verification schedule for laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate training for technicians on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
• Advise on technological advancements and improvements in laboratory practices.
• Monitor laboratory analyses related to shipping operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physical measurements or metrology.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with quality assurance experience (NF EN ISO/IEC 17025).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a production laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with advanced metrology techniques.
• Previous experience in training and mentoring laboratory staff.
