About the Role

We are seeking a Managing Counsel for Commercial Partnerships to join our dynamic legal team. This is a remote position that allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our innovative projects. As the Managing Counsel, you will play a crucial role in shaping our partnerships and commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements related to partnerships and SaaS agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel on GDPR compliance and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development and partnership management initiatives.
  • Engage with C-level executives to communicate legal strategies and implications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks in partnership agreements.
  • Support the implementation of payroll operations and client payroll environments.
  • Advise on affiliate marketing agreements and sales management strategies.
  • Lead negotiations with external partners and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial law, particularly in partnerships and SaaS agreements.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly with C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in HR tech, payroll implementation, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the APAC region or international law.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
  • Background in healthcare partnerships or payments processing.
