Electronics Engineer (Cyber) - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Electronics Engineer (Cyber) to join our team remotely. In this role, you will perform electronics engineering assignments, including research, development, and coordination of cross-functional DISN telecommunications programs. As an Electronics Engineer (Cyber), you'll plan, coordinate, and engineer DISN transmission and data systems using advanced technologies such as Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET), Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM), and Internet Protocol (IP).
What You'll Do
- Conduct research and development for DISN telecommunications programs.
- Plan and coordinate engineering efforts for DISN transmission and data systems.
- Develop future European DISN infrastructure based on user requirements and projected systems growth.
- Review and analyze telecommunications and information system programs.
- Provide recommendations to the Commander DISA-Europe regarding proposed programs.
- Analyze technical engineering studies and documents, including DODIN master plans and technical specifications.
Requirements
- A degree in professional engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of experience in planning, coordinating, and engineering DISN transmission and data systems.
- Experience in performing electronics engineering assignments.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Nice to Have
- Professional registration as a licensed engineer.
- Experience with military telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
