About the Role

We are looking for a LQA Game Tester (Swedish) - Freelance Remote to join our Localization Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be the first to experience the localized game in its entirety, including translated text, images, and the overall user interface. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global project team and contribute to the success of major gaming titles.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with a global project team to ensure the highest quality of localized games.
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors in the game content.
  • Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines and standards.
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions for future projects.
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display and formatting of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found, and perform ad hoc translations as needed.
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Swedish and conversational English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the Swedish language.
  • Computer literacy, particularly with Excel.
  • Robust Internet research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience using different software, applications, and websites.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
  • No prior experience required, but a passion for gaming is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in quality assurance or localization testing.
  • Knowledge of gaming industry standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with various gaming platforms and consoles.
