About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Counsel for Insurance Defense to join our team at Davies Group. This full-time remote position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive litigation support across North America. As a Litigation Counsel in Insurance Defense, you will focus on property and casualty, auto and transportation, and commercial liability matters. You will be part of a growing legal team that values expertise and collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Provide litigation support for various insurance defense matters, ensuring effective management of complex legal issues.
• Draft legal documents and manage pre-litigation cases to drive favorable outcomes.
• Stay updated on insurance law and regulatory requirements to provide informed legal advice.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Utilize your expertise to assess and mitigate legal risks effectively.
• Prepare witnesses and develop litigation strategies to enhance case outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and manage client expectations throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, demonstrating a strong understanding of the field.
• Proficiency in insurance law and related regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex legal concepts.
• Strong litigation skills, including witness preparation and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to assess and mitigate legal risks effectively.
• Strong legal research and writing skills to support case development.
