About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Telecommunications Supervisor to join our team at Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS). This role is crucial for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Telecommunications team, which is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various IT systems, including radio, microwave, and fiber optics. As an IT Network Telecommunications Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our operations at the Nevada National Security Site.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise individual contributors within the IT Network Telecommunications team, approving time and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Establish work assignments and ensure compliance with Integrated Work Control Process requirements.
  • Champion safety protocols and foster a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, including fiber and copper installation.
  • Monitor performance against established metrics and goals.
  • Manage material inventory and track labor/material costs for project budgets.
  • Serve as the escalation point for the telecommunications team, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Develop strategies for improvement based on customer needs and participate in IT Management Operation Review meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of RF engineering, signal propagation theory, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience leading field telecommunication teams and understanding SLAs and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills to prioritize resources effectively.
  • Ability to develop and follow policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with analog IT systems, including telephones and alarm notifications.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning and client relations.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to lead technical efforts.
