About the Role

We are seeking a passionate HR Generalist to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As an HR Generalist, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture while supporting our employees. What You'll Do

  • Foster a positive labor and employee relations environment, facilitating workplace investigations and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain acceptable employee retention levels aligned with HR metrics.
  • Assist in job fairs, training workshops, onboarding, and payroll processing.
  • Communicate Smithfield's guiding principles and provide necessary resources to empower employees.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and assist with HR-related audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Solid understanding of employment law practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual in Spanish or another language to support a diverse workforce.
  • Experience administering HR programs and benefits.
