About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Driver - Scrap Metal (Remote Opportunity) to join Sims Limited, a global leader in metal and electronics recycling. This role primarily involves operating out of our Wingfield yard, with early starts between 5-6 am. As an HR Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient collection and delivery of scrap metal bins.

What You'll Do

  • Collect full scrap metal bins and deliver empty bins safely and efficiently.
  • Follow daily collection schedules and driver run sheets.
  • Keep leadership informed of any incidents, compliance matters, or customer-related issues encountered during your run.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe and responsible work practices in every task you undertake.
  • Represent our company professionally as the face of our business on-site.

Requirements

  • Current HR licence with proven driving experience.
  • Experience operating a Hiab crane, rear lift, hook lift, or Morrell (preferred – full training provided for the right candidate).
  • Ability to follow a run sheet while also thinking on your feet.
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A team player with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the recycling or environmental services industry.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
