Healthcare Assistant - In Patients Unit (Bank Role)
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our In Patients Unit at Marie Curie in Solihull, United Kingdom. What You'll Do
- Support patients and their families by providing compassionate care and emotional support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Monitor patients' symptoms and report any changes to the nursing team.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to implement personalized care plans.
Requirements
- Recent experience in providing care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses or palliative care needs.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work compassionately with patients and their families.
- Emotional resilience and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans tailored to individual needs.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a healthcare or social care setting.
- Understanding of end-of-life care principles.
