Group Leader - Cheese Production (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Group Leader for our Cheese Production team at Leprino Foods. This Group Leader - Cheese Production remote position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee operations and ensure the highest quality cheese production. You will be responsible for leading your team and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Proactively oversee and support team members in the Cheese Department.
• Ensure compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for cheese production.
• Monitor production processes, including vat room specs and ingredient availability.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for timely resolutions.
• Document operational changes and maintain accurate records in the MES system.
• Set clear expectations for operators and hold them accountable for performance.
• Maintain USDA audit readiness and adhere to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of cheese department operations and safety standards.
• Ability to obtain a California Pasteurization License.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and CIM system.
• Must be able to fulfill physical functional requirements of the position.

Nice to Have

• Experience with chemical safe handling procedures.
• History of employee involvement in team initiatives.
• Knowledge of sanitation principles and GMPs.
