Founding Engineer - Autonomous Software Delivery Agents

About the Role

We're seeking a Founding Engineer - Autonomous Software Delivery Agents to join our innovative team at a stealth startup. As a founding engineer, you'll be pivotal in building the infrastructure for autonomous software delivery agents. This isn't just another role; it's an opportunity to define a new category in AI-driven software delivery. You'll be working remotely, but we prefer candidates from the San Francisco Bay Area to facilitate collaboration across time zones.

What You'll Do

• Develop AI Agent Orchestration systems to coordinate multiple specialized agents for automating software delivery.
• Create a Product Intelligence Engine that transforms JIRA workflows and Git patterns into autonomous decision-making processes.
• Enable multi-agent communication, allowing collaboration with external agents and future AI tools.
• Implement enterprise-scale automation to manage over 100 concurrent projects with intelligent resource allocation.
• Work closely with the CEO to shape the technical vision and integrate customer feedback into the platform's evolution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Python, particularly with production-scale backend systems.
• Proven experience in AI engineering, specifically with LLM orchestration and agent frameworks.
• A product-focused mindset, demonstrating care for user impact and product quality.
• Ownership mentality, with a bias for action and comfort in ambiguity.
• Bonus: Experience with enterprise integrations (JIRA APIs, Git platforms) and startup environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience in frontend development.
• Background in category-creating companies, particularly in developer tools or AI infrastructure.
