Forward Deployed Engineer - AI Workspace Platform

About the Role

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our innovative team at Cohere, where we are on a mission to scale intelligence to serve humanity. This Forward Deployed Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape how enterprises harness the power of AI in real-world applications. You will be at the forefront of solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform.
• Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data.
• Experiment at a high velocity and with a high level of quality to engage our customers and ultimately deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.
• Work across the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.

Requirements

• Experience working directly with customers and understanding their needs.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• Proven experience shipping Python in production.
• Experience building and deploying highly performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications.
• Strong coding abilities and comfort working across the stack.
• Ability to read, understand, and fix issues outside of the main code base.
• Ability to excel in fast-paced environments where priorities and objectives are a moving target.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of machine learning principles and practices.
