Engineering Manager - Console User Experience (Remote)

About the Role

Lambda is seeking an Engineering Manager - Console User Experience to join our team in building the world's best AI cloud. This Engineering Manager remote position is pivotal as you will lead a team of frontend and full-stack engineers responsible for Lambda’s customer-facing cloud console and related API integrations. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver intuitive and reliable workflows for our customers, making compute as ubiquitous as electricity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow a team of approximately 4–6 engineers focused on Lambda’s cloud console.
• Own execution of roadmap initiatives across identity, billing, cluster lifecycle, support, and governance workflows.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to define clear scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
• Drive architectural decisions around frontend systems, API integration, and performance.
• Ensure high standards for quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Balance shipping velocity with foundational improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Control Plane, Billing, Support, and Platform teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
• Mentor engineers and help them grow technically and professionally.
• Contribute to a culture of documentation, ownership, and accountability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience building or leading customer-facing web applications, ideally in SaaS, cloud, or infrastructure environments.
• Comfortable reviewing and reasoning about frontend and backend code (React, TypeScript, APIs, etc.).
• Able to drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Care about user experience, even when building infrastructure-heavy systems.
• Comfortable navigating cross-team dependencies in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience balancing roadmap delivery with operational and technical debt work.
