What You'll Do

• Manage the design, development, integration, testing, and qualification of avionics components from conceptualization to production hand-off.
• Ensure adherence to design processes while supporting business needs for speed and agility.
• Oversee the Avionics schedule and key milestones, coordinating team efforts to complete projects on time.
• Monitor and report on Avionics program health to the Avionics Director weekly.
• Evaluate Avionics cost, schedule, and technical risks/opportunities, driving mitigations and realizing opportunities.
• Identify and help realize program or product opportunities to strengthen the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience designing and developing electronic systems and assemblies.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams in electronics design and development efforts for integrated hardware-software products.
• Proven leadership experience, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Must be a US Person with the ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in a technical field.
• Understanding of basic subsystems of a launch vehicle and avionics integration.
• Experience with launch vehicle avionics component design and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with electronics integration in airborne vehicles.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to obtain Department of Defense Security Clearance.
