Engineering Graduate (EC&I) - Power Generation
About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Engineering Graduate (EC&I) to join the NI Engineering team at EP UK Investments. This role is based at both EP Kilroot and EP Ballylumford Power Stations in Northern Ireland. As an Engineering Graduate (EC&I) working remotely, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering team while gaining valuable experience in the energy sector.
What You'll Do
- Support scope preparation and execution during planned and unplanned outages.
- Deliver EC&I improvement projects inside and outside of planned outages.
- Manage and deliver individual work packages within and outside of outages.
- Develop a criticality matrix for all EPNI DCS, Protection, and Electrical systems.
- Review spares holding for key electrical and control systems, considering obsolescence and product lifecycles.
- Assist with compliance against statutory requirements (e.g., DSEAR, minimum engineering standards, Management of Change).
Requirements
- Honours Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or C&I, or predicted to achieve this by Summer 2026.
- Experience in power plants or similar industrial environments is desirable.
- Good understanding of Combined Cycle Gas Fired Power Plants is a plus.
- Strong numerical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with contractors.
- Familiarity with technical incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Exposure to complex electrical and control issues.
