Directory Services Architect - Remote Position at AbbVie

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Directory Services Architect - Remote to join AbbVie’s Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our enterprise-wide Identity & Access Management (IAM) strategy, ensuring that our partners have the tools and knowledge necessary to leverage data securely.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement architecture strategies for enterprise directory and authentication services.
• Secure and modernize Microsoft Active Directory environments.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for directory services.
• Design and enforce modern authentication strategies across the organization.
• Collaborate with domain architects to build resilient identity frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Work with various departments to integrate identity solutions effectively.
• Produce technical position papers and design recommendations to guide the team.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IAM.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; Master's Degree with 7 years; PhD with 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience as an Identity Architect for a minimum of 5 years.
• Previous experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of IAM principles and directory services architecture.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives.
