Director of People - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of People - Remote to join our dynamic team at Rockbot. As a remote-first company, we prioritize flexibility and adaptability in our operations. This role is crucial in shaping our people infrastructure as we scale from 100 to over 300 employees. You will play a vital role in enhancing our company culture and ensuring that our distributed workforce thrives.
What You'll Do
- Design, launch, and continuously evolve a scalable performance management framework.
- Define and operationalize what high performance means at Rockbot.
- Establish clear goal-setting, feedback, and accountability rhythms across the organization.
- Partner with leaders on talent planning and performance accountability.
- Architect scalable lifecycle systems for onboarding, development, and retention.
- Strengthen HRIS and people infrastructure to ensure data accuracy.
- Define and track important people metrics, translating insights into practical action plans.
- Build processes that scale effectively as we grow.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive HR/People experience.
- Proven experience in building performance systems from the ground up.
- Data fluent but not data dependent; able to interpret data to inform decisions.
- Calm under pressure with direct communication skills.
- Motivated by building durable infrastructure in a remote or distributed environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with digital tools for remote team management.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies.
