Remote Behavioral Health Counselor - Contract Position

About the Role

We are hiring a Remote Behavioral Health Counselor to join Growing Hope, an organization dedicated to providing exceptional mental health and behavioral health services to at-risk children, youth, and their families. As a Remote Behavioral Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in making a meaningful impact in the community.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and family therapy to children and families.
• Conduct assessments and develop Individual Plans of Care.
• Manage crisis situations effectively.
• Collaborate with inter and intra-agency staff and other professionals.
• Utilize a secure telehealth platform for remote sessions.
• Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage a panel of clients with evidence-based assessments.
• Engage in discharge planning and case management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and lead treatment team meetings.
• Adhere to ethical standards and agency procedures.

Requirements

• Provisionally or independently licensed counselor or social worker in South Carolina.
• Minimum of two years of experience with children and families.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer use and documentation.
• Training in trauma-informed care preferred.
• Experience with play therapy is a plus.
