About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Lewis Services. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our organization while fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace. As a key member of our HR team, you will serve as the primary HR partner for Region 1 leadership, supporting recruiting efforts and ensuring compliance with HR laws and best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary HR partner for Region 1 leadership, providing strategic HR guidance and support.
  • Support recruiting efforts and ensure a structured hiring process that attracts top talent.
  • Maintain strong compliance standards and reinforce structured HR processes across the organization.
  • Engage in labor relations activities and participate in union negotiations to foster positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager to implement ongoing education initiatives.
  • Document HR processes and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with corporate stakeholders to support organizational planning and development.
  • Champion a culture of safety, training, and internal promotions within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on union negotiation and labor relations.
  • 5+ years of experience in labor relations and union negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills to advise and influence leaders effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws and compliance requirements.
  • Master’s degree and HR certifications are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the utility vegetation management industry.
  • Familiarity with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP).
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.
