Director of Finance - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Finance - Remote to join our dynamic team at Engineered Intelligence Inc. (EII). This is a unique opportunity to lead financial operations in a fully remote setting, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of our innovative power infrastructure technology company. EII specializes in developing cloud-based software solutions that enhance the management of energy and utility assets, particularly through our flagship product, ENGIN™. As a Director of Finance - Remote, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations and help transition external finance functions to internal structures, supporting our ambitious growth strategy.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Implement project-level cost tracking for professional services to enhance financial transparency.
• Manage SaaS subscriptions and develop revenue recognition policies to optimize financial performance.
• Own the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts to guide strategic decision-making.
• Ensure timely tax filings and compliance across various jurisdictions.
• Optimize financial systems and tools for efficiency, enhancing our operational capabilities.
• Lead and grow the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide insights and drive financial strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• CPA designation or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong expertise in financial strategy, FP&A, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to articulate financial insights and strategies.

• Experience in the technology sector, particularly in SaaS or cloud-based solutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and internal controls.
